Personal Consultation
At times we find ourselves at transition
points in our lives where the “old way” no longer
serves us and a “new way” is still unclear. Sometimes
it helps to have another person truly listen and reflect back
to us our thoughts and feelings so we can uncover what is ready
to be resolved.
As a healing facilitator, my role is
to bear witness, listen deeply, and respond in ways that encourage
awakening to the original wholeness and happiness that is always
present within each of us. A sense of wholeness comes from the
realization and remembering of our essential goodness, inner wisdom
and unique presence in the world.
At times we may feel as if we have
lost our way, taken on roles assigned to us by others or are living
in a way that depletes our vitality. Sometimes “symptoms”
tell us it’s time to pay closer attention to what we think
and how we live. When we notice these patterns, we can wake up
to the call for change, change that can heal body and soul.
Sometimes this is a relatively easy
task, requiring a subtle shift in awareness. Coming to understand
that we actually chose and act from our thoughts is sometimes
all that is needed to begin to feel empowered and essentially
happy in any circumstance. This doesn’t mean we like a particular
situation, but that we trust our ability to follow our Inner Wisdom,
mindful of our natural inclination to return to a state of harmony.
When we recognize our inner ability to heal, our outside circumstances
may appear unchanged, but our inner life is forever altered. What
greater blessing?
Sometimes the change required seems, at first, to
be too much for us. It can be hard to believe in our basic goodness.
We may feel out of touch with our authentic self. Because of our
unconscious habits of thought and our tendency to live from the
past, it usually takes courage and the support of others to make
meaningful lasting change even when the desire to do so is compelling.
The path is rarely straight, because each person is unique, and
the time it takes to change is always exactly right.
Through whole-hearted attention, long experience
and a wide variety of skills, I support those who are ripe for
change and are ready to move toward more authentic living, relatively
free of denial and fear. Beginning with the practice of kindness
for oneself and others, I share heart-to-heart communication with
those who are committed to even the smallest steps toward living
a life of deepening consciousness and integrity. I facilitate
this through my care and presence in the relationship, by fostering
attention to patterns in the movement of body and breath, and
by encouraging honest appraisal and attention to what brings happiness
and vitality.
Wholeness, the integration of all aspects of ourselves,
Body, Mind and Spirit, is realized when we access our innate Inner
Wisdom. When we are in touch with our “wise mind”,
we are happier, more resilient regarding the turbulence and conflicts
of life, and more positive in our thoughts and actions. We begin
to make wiser choices that lead to greater well-being for ourselves
and deeper connection to others and all of life.
It is my honor and joy to witness and encourage,
through heart-centered connection, the awakening to freedom, wholeness
and healing on many levels.
